Tribal Tracks and Select Connections/Select Events would like to invite you to this exciting Moroccan experience. We will provide a unique trip that will bring together a group of single people with a shared interest in travel and adventure.
Morocco - High Atlas Mountains and Desert Adventure- 31.1377° N, 7.9198° W
Jacqui Baker, Dating Expert with the Select Connections team, will be with you throughout the journey, enabling you to gain one-to-one and group advice on your dating journey and challenges.
Our adventure begins in Imlil, the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. From there, over two days, we can explore on foot the stunning valleys and Berber villages where time has stood still. We camp for one night in a stunning location and immerse ourselves in these spectacular mountains. Then it is time to head to the secluded Agafay Desert, enjoy the incredible African sunset and stay in a luxury desert camp. We finish our adventure in Marrakech's colourful and vibrant city, with time to explore the Souks and take in the sights and sounds of the famous Djemma Al Fna main square.
The Itinerary:
Sunday 17 September – London to Marrakech. Overnight Marrakech.
This exciting adventure begins in Marrakech; the team will meet at the hotel in the city's centre. Before dinner, there will be a brief from the Tribal Tracks leader and an opportunity to integrate with your fellow team members.

Monday 18 September – Head to the High Atlas Mountains;
Afternoon trek;
Overnight Mountain Camp.
We will be collected from our hotel in Marrakech and transferred to the High Atlas Mountains. Over the next two days, we will be immersed in Berber homelands, passing through mountain villages and meeting the local communities.
Berber history dates back to prehistoric times, and their way of life remains blissfully simple; it is like stepping back in time when you visit this area.
Today we will start our walk in the village of Aguersiwal, journeying through the villages of Matat and Tisgharin. The walk will take approximately five hours; it will be a slow and steady pace to enjoy the stunning scenery. We will be accompanied by local Moroccan mountain guides who can share their knowledge of the region; in support will be mule and muleteers who will transport your luggage to your campsite. On arrival at our camp, we will receive a very warm welcome from our team; we can enjoy a warm green tea and enjoy the sunset over the valley.
Tonight, we wild camp in a spectacular setting in good quality tents with comfortable Moroccan mattresses. There will be a central dining tent and a campfire to sit around in the evening with our very own cook and support crew. You may well be asked to join our local guides in some singing and dancing around the campfire.

Tuesday 19 September – High Atlas Mountains trek;
Venture to the Agafay Desert;
Overnight Luxury Desert Camp.
We will wake up to the stunning views of the Toubkal Valley, and after a hearty breakfast, we will continue on our journey through the Berber homelands; we will walk up to Tizi Oudid and onto the villages of Arghen and Mzzik. The walk will be approximately 4 – 5 hours. We will finish at lunchtime and enjoy a delicious lunch hosted by one of the local Gites. We will then make our way to our stunning luxury desert camp in the Agafay Desert, where we will stay in comfortable static canvas tents with en suite bathrooms. After supper, we can enjoy the incredible African star-studded skies before heading to bed for a well-deserved rest.

Wednesday, 20 September – Return to Marrakech;
Explore the Souks;
Enjoy our final dinner together;
Overnight Marrakech
After breakfast, we will have time to reflect on our experience before we head back to Marrakech. When back in Marrakech, we will have lunch at TerraceDes Epices, a stunning restaurant in the centre of Marrakech looking over the famous central square. After lunch, there will be time to explore Marrakech and its famous Medina, the walled medieval city with buzzing souks (marketplaces) where the team can try a little bartering. We will return to our hotel for some time to relax before our final dinner.

Thursday, 21 September – Fly home.
Our adventure concludes after breakfast; we will say farewell to newfound friends and make our way to the airport for our flight home.

What does the cost include and exclude?
The Trip Includes:
Tribal TracksLeader;

All transfers by private minibus as per itinerary;

The Trip Excludes:
International flights between London and Marrakech (usually from/to London Gatwick); Personal Travel Insurance,
Immunisation costs; Visa fees (currently not required for UK passport holders);
Any locally paid international airport departure taxes;
Items of a personal nature;- Sleeping bag for camping; Alcoholic drinks; Tipping for local guides and drivers – approx. £30pp.

Flights are not included in the cost of the trip. Below are the recommended flights for your itinerary, which are currently showing from £200 (inclusive of hold baggage):

Outbound - Gatwick 17 September, departing at 13:55 hrs - arriving at Marrakech at 17:35 hrs
We will have a private transfer at the airport to meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
Inbound - Marrakech 21 September, departing at 10:55 hrs - arriving at Gatwick 14:30 hrs
We will arrange a private transfer departing from your hotel at 0800hrs.
If you decide to book alternative flights or would like to extend your stay in Marrakech, please advise us on booking so we can arrange separate transfers.
